National Service Scheme (NSS)

N.S.S. is a youth welfare programme aiming at personality development through social service.

Enrollment

Application for enrolment will be called for by the programme officers of the unit at the beginning of the academic year. Any student enrolled as NSS volunteer should put in at least 120 hrs of social work in a year for a continuous period of two years and should attend a special camp for 7 days.

Incentives to NSS Volunteers.

An N.S.S. volunteer holding a merit certificate is eligible for

• Grace marks in university examination for all courses including professional courses.
• A weightage of 15 marks for admission to the next courses including professional courses
• A weightage of 5 marks for admission to PG Courses
