About UIT Mannar

UIT Mannar is a prestigious Centre for higher education of the University of Kerala established on 2013 July 24.It is a promising institute providing quality education to students from the locality at par with the other HEI’s in the state from the very beginning. UIT Mannar attained a unique position in academic circle by producing higher Ranks at University level.
The Centre was started at the Govt. JB School campus Mannar at first. In 2015 the Centre is shifted to a new building constructed under the LAD Scheme of the then MLA Sri. PC Vishnunath. Thanks are due to the then President Smt. Valsala Balakrishnan and Sri. Thomas Chacko(Vice President) of the Mannar Grama Panchayath.
University of Kerala is doing its extension activities of local area development of educationally backward and potential group of the rural society through the establishment of regional Centres of higher education.
